Ballet Hispánico is seeking organized, reliable, and energetic Wardrobe Assistants to support costume operations during our end-of-year performances and rehearsals. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced performing arts environment and has experience working with children and teens.
Responsibilities
Wardrobe Assistants will assist with costume organization, distribution, and collection during rehearsals and performances. They will help dancers with quick changes backstage, maintain costumes, accessories, and dressing areas in clean, performance-ready condition, and track costume pieces while assisting with labeling and check-in/check-out procedures. Assistants will support basic costume repairs or communicate wardrobe issues to supervisors, assist younger students with dressing and costume preparation as needed, work collaboratively with stage management, faculty, and production staff, and help maintain a calm, professional, and supportive backstage environment.

Qualifications
Candidates must have previous experience working with children. Experience in wardrobe, costume handling, theater, dance, or backstage environments is preferred, as is experience styling performance hair. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to multitask and work efficiently in high-pressure environments, a positive attitude, and strong communication skills are essential. Availability for rehearsals, tech, and performance dates is required.
