In partnership with the GM at Ballast Point, the Assistant Manager is responsible for the guest experience, employee development, and restaurant operations. The ideal candidate has experience in managing a high-volume bar or restaurant with an emphasis on customer service and providing a world class experience for our guests, community, and team members. The Assistant Manager collaborates with a dedicated group of talented chefs, managers, and team members that wish to grow with their supervisors and with the company.

What You'll Be Doing
- Deliver exceptional customer service with every guest, peer, staff and vendor interaction
- Hire, train, supervise, mentor, and discipline all restaurant staff
- Inspire and engage staff to exceed goals and team expectations
- Uphold and exemplify Ballast Point's Mission and Values daily
- Develop, provide feedback and conduct performance evaluations for all staff
- Execute operational areas of responsibility (Operations, Training, Scheduling, Payroll, Customer, and Safety).
- Maintain a clean, safe, healthy, and sustainable tasting room environment and champion a safety-first, people-first work environment
- Properly handle and report accidents timely and efficiently
- Communicate with other departments to ensure a supporting team of professional and promote teamwork and foster a harmonious working climate.
- Meet and exceed revenue, margin, safety, and secret shop goals.
- Navigate and conduct crucial conversations with peers, customers, staff and vendors
- Recognize and address potential intoxicated or disruptive guests
- Promote good public relations and handle complaints or concerns of guests timely, appropriately and efficiently
- 3 years in a Restaurant/Bar/Tasting Room Management position
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt to change and have an unwavering attention to detail
- Ability to make critical decisions under high pressure situations and exceed in problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and be self-motivated
- Experience using POS systems
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
- Food safe and LEAD certified
- Salary: $68,640 per year
- The actual rate of pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role is also eligible for our comprehensive benefits and perks package:
