The Opportunity

As a Staff Accountant – Tax Emphasis, you will work closely with clients and members of our client service team to prepare tax returns, conduct research, solve problems, and contribute to the strategic advisory services we provide.

You will have the opportunity to:

• Proactively interact with clients and members of the client service team to prepare tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and other entity types
• Research tax issues and develop well-supported conclusions
• Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to client situations
• Develop a strong understanding of our clients' businesses and financial goals
• Identify opportunities to provide additional value through tax planning and advisory services
• Develop your tax, advisory, and accounting knowledge through hands-on experience and continued training
• Take on increasing levels of responsibility as your knowledge and skills grow
• Follow applicable tax regulations and the professional standards and ethical requirements of the AICPA and Arkansas State Society

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with a CPA firm
• Experience preparing tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations
• Strong understanding of tax and accounting concepts
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Desire and commitment to continue learning and growing professionally
