Ballantyne Country Club is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Human Resource Generalist to oversee and enhance our HR functions and employee policies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and managing all HR activities, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with labor laws. As a key member of our leadership team, you will collaborate closely with departmental managers to develop effective HR strategies that align with our organizational goals. Your expertise in HR best practices will be crucial in fostering a dynamic and productive workforce. Additionally, you will be tasked with developing training programs and career development initiatives to ensure employee growth and satisfaction. This role requires an analytical thinker who can balance the operational needs of the organization with the needs of its employees. The Human Resource Generalist will serve as a point of contact for both staff and leadership regarding HR policies and procedures, ensuring that we maintain a positive and compliant work environment. You will be responsible for analyzing HR data to inform decision-making and improve organizational effectiveness, thereby contributing to the overall success of the company. In addition, the HR Generalist will oversee all aspects of benefits including multiple insurance plans, 401k plans, and Affordable Care Act compliance.
Responsibilities
· Develop and implement HR strategies that support business objectives.
· Oversee job postings and recruitment.
· Oversee employee onboarding and training programs to enhance employee engagement.
· Administer employee pay raises, job changes, etc.
· Ensure compliance with safety protocols and conduct monthly safety committee meetings.
· Conduct annual benefits open enrollment, assist employees with benefit questions, and maintain oversight throughout the year.
· Oversee FSA, Cobra, Worker’s Compensation filings, FMLA and 401k Plans.
· Monitor employee referral bonuses.
· Conduct exit interviews and surveys throughout the year.
· Complete necessary employment verifications, unemployment notices, wage audits, and garnishment notices.
· Address employee relations issues and foster a positive workplace culture.
· Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations across all HR practices.
· Revision of employee handbook.
· Participate as a member of the Employee Culture Committee.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
· Proven experience as a Human Resources Generalist
or in a similar HR role
· Strong knowledge of HR practices, employee relations, and benefits administration
· Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices
· Knowledge of ACA and EEOC compliance
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage employees at all levels
· Ability to resolve conflicts and manage sensitive employee issues
· Exceptional organizational skills and a keen attention to detail, effectively managing multiple tasks simultaneously
· Knowledge of PayCom or similar HR/payroll management software, Employee Navigator, Indeed, Excel, Canva, and Word
