JOB SUMMARY: Leasing consultant will lease and show apartments and maintain a successful renewal program. Demonstrate knowledge and consistency in maintaining high standards of customer relations and services.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Perform property presentations in person and on the phone. Responsible for following up on prospective residents.
· Verify rental applications, approve for occupancy, and enter all paperwork into computer.
· Walk vacant units and perform property inspections prior to move-in.
· Submit weekly and monthly traffic and marketing reports.
· Comply with all published policies and procedures.
· Develop and post ads on-line
· Other duties as needed or requested by supervisor.
EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
· High school diploma.
· Two-to-four-year college degree preferred.
· Must have a valid TN driver’s license.
· Dependable vehicle necessary for driving to scattered sites.
· Must have excellent customer service skills.
· Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Must be able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
· Must be able to make decisions (e.g. prioritizing) without direction or supervision.
· Must be detailed and organized.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION OF THIS POSITION:
· Must be able to sit for extended periods of time while using a keyboard and manual writing.
· Must be able to occasionally push, pull, lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
· Must be able to frequently sit, stand, walk and climb stairs.
PROPER ATTIRE:
Business or business casual.
WORK HOURS:
Varies: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM (Fall/Winter Hours) or 9 AM to 6 PM (Spring/Summer Hours), Monday through Friday. Part time hours vary.
Will work 1 to 3 Saturdays (10:00-5:00) a month as requested.
