Summary
The Service Technician Level 2 is a mid-level position responsible for a broader range of diagnostics and repair services on powersports (Polaris, Can-Am, Arctic Cat, CF Moto, Honda) and outdoor power equipment (Cub Cadet, Gravely, Ferris, Exmark, Husqvarna). This role requires prior hands-on experience, an expanded personal tool set, and the ability to perform independent repairs with limited supervision.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform repairs including electrical troubleshooting, drivetrain work, continuously variable transmission, and engine service.
- Diagnose and repair units using OEM service manuals and diagnostic platforms.
- Communicate effectively with Parts and Service Writers to ensure repair accuracy.
- Record completed work and parts usage in LightSpeed DMS/CRM/POS.
- Maintain quality standards for timely and accurate repairs
- Provide backup support to set-up when needed

Qualifications:
Qualifications and Competencies
- High school diploma or GED required & valid drivers; technical training preferred
- 2-4 years of service experience in powersports, lawn & garden, automotive, or related fields.
- Larger personal tool set required; dealership supplies specialty tools.
- Able to interpret OEM diagnostic systems and service procedures.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Advanced diagnostics (fuel, electronics, drivetrains engine mechanical) & be able to rebuild most air and water cooled small engines.
- Multiple OEM certifications (Honda, Polaris Can-Am, Etc.) Preferred
- Instills sufficient confidence to complete customer-pay jobs independently
Physical Demands
Standing/Walking constantly, lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs independently, over with team lift. Pushing / pulling 25-100 lbs using carts, jacks. Bending, stooping and reaching above shoulder/waist frequently. Manual dexterity, vision/reading required constantly along with frequent hearing, verbal communication for test driving of equipment.
Work Environment
- Shop environment with moderate to loud noise.
- May work indoors and outdoors when staging or moving units.
Work Schedule
- Full-time, Monday–Saturday; seasonal overtime during peak months.
