We are looking for a Field Supervisor to oversee our Plattsburgh region!
Summary:
To achieve Balkan Beverage’s sales objectives in assigned accounts through effective coaching and supervision of assigned personnel and through personal selling to accounts assigned. Oversees appropriate inventory levels and daily sales operations.
Essential Functions (must be able to be performed with or without reasonable accommodation):
• Continually identifies sales opportunities and initiate action to capture and resolve problems in assigned accounts or routes.
• Develops monthly sales and execution plan.
• Maintains or grows sales volume of all brands to market share level appropriate for assigned sales routes.
• Ensures inventory levels are in alignment with sales.
• Conduct monthly route rides with sales team.
• Conduct monthly surveys as assigned
• Develop plans to include target account distribution, displays, resets, merchandising, and other sales goals for each assigned route.
• Monitors competition in assigned accounts and communicates regularly with management on competitive activity.
• Assist Sales personnel in sales presentations to key accounts while working in the field.
• Develops and implements on-going field training for assigned personnel and accompanies personnel on sales calls to improve selling and route management skills.
• Evaluates performance and effort on each subordinate according to company policy. Prepares corrective action documentation when performance, conduct or attendance is unsatisfactory.
• Responsible for effective communication with subordinates and for motivating each individual to achieve the desired results in assigned accounts.
• Makes sales calls on accounts as directed to sell programs and other specific sales objectives.
• Makes contact with customer personnel in assigned accounts on a regularly scheduled basis to build relationships and to optimize selling efforts to accounts.
• Adheres to Company policy and procedures, State and Federal laws and regulations.
• Maintains appearance standards and professional image according to Company policy.
• Ensures direct reports adhere to Company dress code to maintain a professional appearance in the market.
• Properly uses, maintains and safeguards Company, equipment, supplies and tools.
Qualifications:
• Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED), secondary education preferred, and at least three years of related sales or retail grocery experience and/or training. One year of previous supervisory or management experience is required for this position.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a good record and access to a reliable vehicle.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally life 50 lbs. and/or move up to 250 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance and color vision.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
