Discovery & Assessment
Architectural Audit: Perform a deep dive into existing healthcare applications to document the current 'As-Is' state, including data schemas, integration points, and infrastructure.
Gap Analysis: Identify scalability bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and data silos within the current financial and operational tools.
Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate workshops with customer stakeholders (CIO/VPs, Clinical Leads, Finance Directors) to gather functional and non-functional requirements.
Strategy & Design
Future-State Roadmap: Design a modern, unified architecture ('To-Be') that consolidates financial, revenue, and operational data into a single pane of glass.
Technical Stack Selection: Define the target stack, prioritizing cloud-native services (AWS/Azure), microservices, and modern data-streaming & AI architectures.
Security & Compliance: Ensure the future state adheres strictly to HIPAA, HITRUST, and SOC2 standards, incorporating robust data encryption and identity management (IAM).
Leadership & Execution
Lead Technical Design: Create comprehensive architectural blueprints, sequence diagrams, and data flow models.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the bridge between customer business requirements and the engineering teams technical execution. Collaborate with architects from other competencies, such as Data, AI & UX.
Mentorship: Guide senior developers and engineers on best practices for DDD (Domain-Driven Design) and API-first development.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 15 years in software engineering with at least 7 years in a Lead Architect role.
Domain Expertise: Proven track record in the Healthcare IT space, preferably with Financial/Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) or Clinical Operational systems.
Modernization Skills: Deep experience in 'Strangler Fig' patterns or similar strategies for migrating legacy monoliths to microservices.
Data proficiency - Expertise in both OLAP & OLTP database schema design and data migration to live environments
Cloud Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of cloud architecture (Serverless, Kubernetes, Managed Databases ).
Communication: Exceptional ability to translate complex technical concepts into 'business value' for C-suite stakeholders.
Compliance Knowledge: Working knowledge of healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR) and privacy regulations.
Preferred Skills
Experience with AI/ML integration for predictive operational intelligence.
