We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Weekend Dispatcher to join our operations team. This person will be responsible for overseeing weekend fleet operations, providing driver support, and ensuring smooth load execution.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor and manage dispatch operations for all weekend loads
- Communicate effectively with drivers to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries
- Track equipment and driver locations using dispatch software
- Respond promptly to driver issues, delays, or breakdowns
- Update internal systems with current load status and driver notes
- Coordinate with customers and brokers as needed for updates or issues
- Ensure DOT and company compliance with hours of service and safety policies
- Prepare shift handoff reports for weekday dispatch team
- Previous experience in dispatching (preferred in trucking or logistics)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under pressure
- Proficient with dispatch/tracking software (e.g., McLeod, Samsara, KeepTruckin — or willing to learn)
- Understanding of DOT regulations and hours of service
