Lead Housekeeper

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Lead Housekeeper to oversee daily cleaning and laundry operations. This role ensures high standards of cleanliness and efficiency while managing a team of cleaners and laundry attendants. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to maintaining a hygienic and welcoming environment.

Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, hallways, and common areas, ensuring all spaces are spotless and well-maintained.
• Manage laundry services, including washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and towels as needed.
• Ensure all cleaning and laundry tasks are completed to company standards and within set timeframes.
• Supervise housekeeping staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations and adherence to quality standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of rooms and facilities to ensure compliance with cleanliness protocols.
• Collaborate with management to develop housekeeping schedules and assign tasks effectively.
• Train, mentor, and provide guidance to staff on cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and proper use of equipment.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to ensure adequate stock levels.
• Address guest requests or concerns promptly and professionally, enhancing their overall experience.

Experience

• Previous experience in housekeeping or custodial roles is required, particularly within hotel or commercial cleaning environments.
• Strong leadership abilities with experience in supervising staff or managing teams is required.
• Familiarity with housekeeping management practices and standards within the hospitality industry is preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are essential for maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be bilingual (Spanish and English)
