Balian Springs Self-Care Social Club is a first-of-its-kind wellness destination in Alexandria, VA, offering over 100,000 square feet of amenities, including hydrotherapy pools, saunas, lounges, eateries, and bars. We provide daily self-care workshops and partner with local providers to create a holistic and rejuvenating guest experience. Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Housekeeping Manager to oversee all housekeeping and laundry operations. This role is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, leading a team of housekeeping and laundry professionals, and ensuring a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for all guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily housekeeping operations to ensure all areas meet cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Oversee laundry processes, including collection, washing, drying, folding, and distribution of linens, robes, and uniforms
- Conduct regular inspections of public and back-of-house areas; address deficiencies and ensure corrective actions are implemented
- Develop and manage staff schedules, including daily operations and deep cleaning routines, while controlling labor costs
- Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and submit to management in a timely manner
- Train, coach, and mentor housekeeping and laundry team members to uphold service standards
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment; place orders and track usage to control costs
- Collaborate with management to ensure seamless coordination for events, treatments, and guest experiences
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Respond promptly and professionally to housekeeping-related requests or concerns
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, schedules, and supply usage
Qualifications
- 3 years of housekeeping experience in hospitality, wellness, spa, or related environments
- 1–2 years of supervisory or management experience preferred
- Strong leadership and team management skills with a focus on training and motivation
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures, laundry operations, and sanitation standards
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Bilingual in Spanish and English required
