Construction Survey Party Chief
Overview
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Construction Survey Party Chief to support heavy civil and mission-critical projects. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical surveying skills and leadership experience in construction environments.
Responsibilities
- Perform construction staking, topographic surveys, as-built surveys, and layout.
- Operate GPS and robotic total station equipment
- Read and interpret construction plans and survey data.
- Collect accurate field data and complete required documentation.
- Communicate with project managers, superintendents, and field personnel.
- Ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.
- 5 years previous field experience as a Survey Party Chief preferred.
- Proficiency Trimble Survey software (Terramodel, TBC) preferred.
- Proficient with GPS and robotic total station equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and survey data.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Must be a self-starter.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical work.
