Essential Functions
- Safety Support: Promote and enforce safety rules and regulations; assist with subcontractor orientations and safety documentation; perform and document weekly inspections in alignment with Zero Harm®.
- Preconstruction Assistance: Attend and document preconstruction meetings; help develop scopes of work and bid packages; support document control and distribution of revised specifications and drawings.
- Planning & Scheduling: Assist in identifying long-lead items, maintaining material expediting logs, and preparing submittal schedules; participate in pull planning and critical path meetings.
- Project Coordination: Administer the RFI and submittal process, ensuring all documents are coordinated across trades, reviewed, and approved in support of project schedule milestones.
- Field Support: Track subcontractor progress and ensure work complies with plans, specifications, and quality requirements; maintain as-built drawings and documentation.
- Quality Control: Assist in developing and maintaining quality control programs and tracking systems; coordinate inspections and help resolve deficiencies.
- Cost & Documentation: Support the change management process, prepare progress reports, and assist with meeting documentation and correspondence.
- Closeout: Assist in project turnover by compiling closeout documents, owner manuals, and as-builts; coordinate owner training and ensure all items are properly documented and delivered.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and project coordination principles.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Demonstrated interest in pursuing a long-term career in construction management.
- Internship or co-op experience with a commercial general contractor and/or 1 year past experience.
- Proficiency with project management software such as Procore, Primavera P6, or Bluebeam.
- OSHA 30 certification and First Aid training (or ability to obtain).
