Retail Relief Supervisor (full time)

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, Weekend Rotation, Special Events and or Holidays, Open year round
Summary of Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of BW Dining. Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating efficiently.
- Provides quality and consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipes and presentation standards. Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.
- Delivers legendary customer service to all customers by acting with a “customer comes first” attitude and connecting with the customer. Anticipates customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues. Communicates information to manager so that the team can respond as necessary to create the “Third Place” environment during each shift.
- Assists with new employee training. Positively reinforcing successful performance and providing respectful and encouraging coaching as needed. Communicates feedback to store manager on team member’s performance during shift.
- Creates a positive learning environment by providing clear, specific, timely and respectful coaching and feedback to team members on shift to ensure operational excellence and to improve performance.
- Contributes to positive team environment by recognizing alarms or changes in workers morale and performance by developing positive relationships with shift associates. Understanding and addressing individual motivation, needs and concerns. Communicating them to the store manager.
- Follows up with employees during the shift to ensure the delivery of legendary customer service for all customers and consistency of products. Reinforces BW dining policies and procedures.
- Executes store operations during scheduled shifts. Organizes opening and closing duties as assigned.
- Follows all operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety & security, to ensure the safety of all team members during each shift.
- Follows all cash management and cash register policies and ensures proper cash management practices are followed by shift team. Responsible with counting the opening and/or closing cash drawers.
- Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Supports the sustainability efforts of the BW campus recycling and composting procedures
- Assists in monthly inventory
- Oversees operation in absence of manager.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must be Servsafe certified.
- High School diploma/GED with three-five years’ experience in a supervisory or leadership position preferred
- Working knowledge of computer operating systems, including windows databases and spreadsheet application Excel, PowerPoint, Word
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Team player as well as a team leader.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to multi-task and troubleshoot.
- Promote positive public relations by always offering the best possible service.
- Basic accounting skills
- Schedule flexibility
- Knowledge of the retail environment
Conditions of Employment:
Must pass a criminal background check and complete all required trainings.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, cleaning chemicals and/or loud noises. Considerable physical activity. May require handling of objects that can weigh up to 50 lbs. Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
