The MRI Technologist performs routine magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures to support diagnostic and treatment services. This role ensures patient safety and comfort, produces high-quality images for physician evaluation, and maintains compliance with department protocols and safety standards. The MRI Technologist I is responsible for operating and maintaining imaging equipment, managing MRI supplies, and providing excellent patient care throughout the procedure.
Education: Graduate from a Radiologic technologist education program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) or an MRI educational program
Licenses & Certifications:
- Possess a current registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Registered Technologist (R.T. (R)(ARRT)) OR a current registration through the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT). Baldwin Health will allow a period of 6 months to persons applying as registry eligible to accomplish initial registration requirements
- Possess a current registration or be pursuing certification within one (1) year by the (ARRT) as a Registered Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (MR (ARRT)) OR registration through the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
- Current, approved, CPR for healthcare providers
Qualifications:
- Have a minimum of 1 year of full-time experience within the last 3 years in a clinical setting.
