Job Title – Enterprise Systems Professional
Supervised by/Reports To: Enterprise Systems Coordinator, CNP Coordinator (as assigned), and Director of Educational Technology
FLSA Status: Exempt
Job Goals:
- To assist the Enterprise Systems Coordinator in maintaining the overall architecture of system-wide software applications.
- To assist the Enterprise Systems Coordinator in developing and implementing methodology for data flow between systems.
- To provide high-end technical support to school system end users that enhances school system programs and operations.
- To provide software support and training to enable school system personnel to effectively manage information and enhance student achievement.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; four-year college degree preferred.
Successful job experience in software consulting and training end users; job experience in public education preferred.
Successful knowledge of and experience with relational database terminology and methods.
Possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
Ability to meet the suitability criteria for employment and/or certification/licensure under the Alabama Child Protection Act of 1999 and Act No
Proficient with T-SQL.
Proficient with Microsoft SSRS and SSIS.
Familiarity with data integration methods.
Successful experience with software application implementation, integration, monitoring, and maintenance.
Proficient problem-solving skills; must be capable of utilizing both business and technical perspectives to develop workable solutions.
Experience with various client/server environments such as email servers, application servers, database servers, and directory service servers; networking analysis and troubleshooting experience on switched and routed networks preferred.
Ability to present effectively to groups at any level and to provide training in public settings.
Ability to formulate and implement software solutions across a variety of platforms to meet a diverse set of needs.
Project management experience preferred.
Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to relate complex technical concepts.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; agility and dexterity needed to stoop, bend, lift/move equipment (computers and/or peripherals, etc.) when necessary and to perform technical equipment inspections and/or repairs, including the inspection of cabling in floors and ceilings.
Ability and willingness to work after hours, weekends, or holidays when necessary.
Ability to be punctual and in regular attendance.

Performance Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Demonstrates support for the school system and its vision, goals and priorities.
Advocate, support, promote, and communicate all aspects of the Baldwin County School System technology programs, services and initiatives.
Work within the school system community to promote excellent customer service, effective response times and provide expert insights into general support issues. Enforce quality of service guidelines for dealing with customers, completing services, and overall customer satisfaction.
Provides software support and training to end users on student information system (INow) and other network-based applications.
Provides users with efficient, effective, courteous and timely technical support.
Answers and fulfills support requests via telephone, email, and other support systems (helpdesk/work orders).
Develops training materials and timelines on multiple applications, trains end users, and provides ongoing support for software applications as assigned.
Performs troubleshooting on reported issues with various applications.
Maintains data integrity of file structures and databases.
Updates and maintains existing software applications, including applying necessary software updates and hotfixes as required.
Ensures backup and recovery plans and systems are in place and operable at all times.
Creates custom data extracts and integration methods using a variety of programs and products (including custom SQL code, SSIS packages, FTP, etc).
Creates customized reporting solutions through the use of Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008 Reporting Services and Crystal Reports or other applications as deployed.
Assists with the planning and implementation of various software products and process improvement projects based on recent assessment of functionality and need.
Creates and manages Active Directory user accounts (Windows Server 2003/2008 or subsequent applications as deployed).
Creates and manages email accounts within Microsoft Exchange 2007/2010 or subsequent environment as deployed.
Develops custom solutions for other school system departments or school needs including After School Care Tracking, Truancy Tracking, Graduation Tracking System, Graduation Exam Test Tracking, and Child Nutrition.
Performs duties in a courteous and professional manner.
Maintains appropriate confidentiality regarding school/workplace matters.
Models and maintains high ethical standards.
Demonstrates initiative in identifying potential problems and/or opportunities for improvement in areas of responsibility.
Reports potential problems, unusual events, or work irregularities to appropriate administrative or supervisory personnel.
Participates successfully in training programs, professional development, or other learning to increase skill and proficiency related to job performance and leadership.
Serves on school/system committees as required or appropriate demonstrating effective interpersonal skills to work as an effective team member.
Responds to inquiries, requests, constructive feedback, concerns and/or complaints in a timely and positive manner.
Maintains and submits reports, records, and correspondence in a timely and accurate manner.
Maintains tools, equipment, and parts in good repair; efficiently uses time and system resources.
Adheres to school system rules, administrative procedures, local Board policies, and state, federal, and local regulations.
Reports absences and takes leave in accordance with Board policies and procedures.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Terms of Employment: Twelve-month position in accordance with the Board's salary schedule
Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the State Department of Education and/or Baldwin County Board of Education policy on evaluation of classified personnel.

Salary : $60,000 - $120,000
