This role is responsible for processing raw seafood into finished goods while maintaining strict quality, safety, and sanitation standards.
Seafood Processors work hands-on with a variety of seafood products in a refrigerated and wet environment and are expected to handle product efficiently, safely, and accurately.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Prepare fish, shellfish, and other seafood products for final delivery
- Sort, inspect, and handle multiple types of seafood
- Scale, trim, clean, and process seafood according to established specifications
- Process shellfish and other raw materials into finished goods
- Package, weigh, and correctly label products
- Place product into proper storage locations and bins
- Follow First In, First Out (FIFO) procedures for preparing, storing, and rotating product
- Inspect products to ensure compliance with quality control standards
- Discard incidental fish and seafood that does not meet processing standards
- Load and unload product during receiving and production processes
- Operate, clean, and maintain processing equipment and tools
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area at all times
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety policies
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
- Prior experience in seafood or food processing preferred but not required we will train the correct person
- Ability to work in cold, wet, and refrigerated environments
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy volumes of product
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Strong attention to detail and quality

- Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of recent food processing and/or food service experience
- Ability to work 8 hours per shift, up to 6 nights per week, in a refrigerated environment
- Ability to stand for 8 or more hours and perform repetitive tasks
- Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs
- Ability to perform repetitive motions using hands, arms, legs, and back
- Ability to frequently use tools while wearing insulated gloves
- Prompt and reliable attendance is required
