Overview:
The Fresh Cuts Facilitator will directly support production based on needs and production schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Assist and supports production by feeding the lines, tables and machinery
- Assist with setting up and organizing the production environment, including equipment, and supplies
- Power wash production lines, tables and equipment daily during the production process
- Package and palletize finished goods
- Remove waste by following recycling and HACCP regulations
- Maintaining the working areas clean by utilizing a squeegee to collect waste and debris off the floor
- Ability to comprehend and interpret written instructions/labels.
- Must be able to work well with others and communicate in a respectful and professional manner.
- Must be able to stand for a minimum of 8 hours.
- Hearing and speaking to exchange information.
- Dexterity of hands to perform the tasks required of the position.
- Sight in order to be aware of hazards and dangers found in the nature of the work.
- Regularly stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Direct or indirect contact with raw onions for a minimum of 8 hours.
- Exposure to chlorine for a minimum of 8 hours
- Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull, grasp, and perform repetitive motions.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 20 lbs.
- High School or equivalent
- Experience in the produce industry preferred
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, Health and Food Safety preferred
- Manufacturing environment – exposure to a variety of machines and noise levels.
- Must be able to work in a refrigerated room 36 °F – 38 °F for minimum of 8 hours.
