Job Overview
Summary: Under the direction of the General Manager, responsible for providing direction and leadership to casino operations during an assigned shift in accordance with all applicable state and federal gaming laws and regulations. The Casino Shift Manager is responsible for all facility operations in the absence of the General Manager and has pro temp decision making authority. Must be twenty-one (21) years of age
Duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned).
- Ensures that the highest level of customer service is provided to Baldini’s guests by regularly interacting with casino guests.
- Oversees casino operations to ensure efficient operations
- Compiles relevant information pertaining to department operations and distribute daily operating reports.
- Is directly involved in all guest / employee accidents, injuries and incidents to ensure proper reporting is conducted and incidents are resolved to the mutual benefit of guests and the company
- Conducts departmental pre-shift meetings and proactively promotes the company’s events, promotion’s and corporate culture.
- Ensure proper staffing levels in all operational areas and direct staff to increase or decrease staffing as deemed appropriate.
- Ensures departmental compliance with company, state and federal policies, procedures and regulations.
- Generates reports, evaluations and administrative documentation in timely manner as required by management and Nevada Gaming; keeps administration/management informed of activities and status of casino operations.
- Maintains confidentiality of all relevant information concerns of guests and company assets.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Responsible to work in conjunction with Department Managers and General Manager in the supervision of personnel and the efficient operation of the facilities during an assigned shift. Monitor employee personnel activities and take appropriate actions with the appropriate management of personnel in support of efficient operations.
Minimum Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements that follow are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required.
- Knowledge of casino operations to include, but not limited to: gaming, food and beverage, facilities, security, and providing superior customer service.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience OR
- Three to five years of experience working in slot operations OR
- Three to five years of supervisory experience in a casino environment preferred
- Must communicate effectively in the English language with strong grammar, spelling, editing and writing skills
- High School level math skills with ability to apply basic principles of business math.
- Excellent customer relations and communication skills.
- Outgoing, approachable personality with ability to meet and greet both established patrons as well as newcomers to the property.
- Ability to take proactive measures to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Ability to work effectively and cordially with co-workers and management to resolve disputes and customer issues.
- Able to maintain a strict level of confidentiality regarding company information.
- Requires strong supervisory skills and demonstrated leadership ability among peers
- Microsoft Office and related software.
- Possess or able to obtain and maintain Nevada Gaming Registration.
- Alcohol Awareness Card.
- Valid driver’s license.

- The employee must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to work at a fast pace and handle stressful situations calmly and appropriately
- Must be able to maneuver around the office and the facility as needed to respond to respond to guest and employee issues, collect and distribute all necessary documents.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually above average with second-hand smoke-filled environment.
