Job Overview:
The Line Leader is responsible for overseeing manufacturing activities on a production line or in area. The Line Leader will operate, help maintain equipment and lead production assembly on a line or in an area, by assist their team in completing orders, prepare reports, and co-coordinate several activities including: operating machines, production, processing, packaging, and sorting. The Line Leader will ensure that manufacturing of items in the production area is carried out efficiently and with strict adherence to safety and quality standards. The work schedule requires position to be in area prior to the start of the shift to stage work area, with additional hours during peak times and year-end.

Key Responsibilities
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to a warehouse environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to use hands and fingers to type or dial, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and reach with hands and arms.
The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. This position requires computer use. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Key Responsibilities
- Follows all company-established rules and policies; adheres to all safety rules, quality standards, process documentation, and regulations.
- Explores methods of possible improvement in safety, efficiency, and/or productivity.
- Communicates and/or stops production to report any possible discrepancies to your zone lead or supervisor.
- Maintains all quality indicators for operations by verifying product quantity/quality according to company requirements and standards.
- Understands the operation of all equipment of the associated line and ensures production is running smoothly and efficiently.
- Trains assigned personnel on the operation of all equipment of the associated production line.
- Able to perform the work of, and fill in for during the absence of, all assigned employees as needed, to include Zone Lead.
- Completes the required written daily reports.
- Ensures all assigned personnel knows where all valves and emergency stop controls are located and can activate/deactivate emergency controls as needed.
- Ensures proper shutdown of equipment and area at the end of shift (shut off equipment, check for leaks, cover tanks or hoppers, clean up, and empty trash carts).
- Understands and maintains all safety, mechanical, and chemical aspects of the job.
- Other duties as directed to deliver manufacturing performance goals
- Knowledge manufacturing processes and equipment.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient computer skills needed to function in job role.
- Must be able to operate and maintain equipment in alignment with safety standards.
- Must be able to read Material Safety Data Sheets and raw materials and finished goods container labels.
- Must have high-quality standards and degree of accuracy and organizational skills.
- Solid work history that demonstrates reliability and ability to thrive in a team environment.
- Ability to take and understand directives.
- Ability to lead, inspire ownership, and ensure the follow-through of directives as planned.
- Adaptable and easily adjusts to changing work conditions and responsibilities with a positive attitude.
- Develops and maintains positive work relationships with both Leaders and co-workers.
- Ability to mediate and report conflict between team members in a professional manner.

- Must be able to work scheduled hours as well as overtime.
