Quality Control Technician

Balcan USA is hiring for a QC Technician. We are searching for 1 technician on day shift for a rotating 12 hour shift. This shift has a weekend premium of an additional $1.50/hr.

Summary

The Quality Control Technician is primarily responsible to managing rejects, supplier complaints and special test requests/data collection.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem from time to time.

• Partakes in all safety training and exhibits safe behavior at all times.
• Performing quality test procedures as required and specified by the production paperwork.
• Communicates plant wide quality performance on reject waste
• Preparing or retesting samples for customer/supplier complaints.
• Managing special requests for data and testing for the lab as a whole
• Supporting QA and QC as necessary.
• Maintaining specifications and making changes to specifications as required through spec change process and approved by Technical and Manufacturing.
• Uses SAP as required.
• Assists with administration of ISO procedures.
• Use of production reporting system to ensure accuracy of data and labels.
• 5S and housekeeping
• Participate in continuous improvement projects.
• Be able to operate in a team environment through proper communication and assisting each other during all steps of operation.

Education and /or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); quality experience in a manufacturing setting a plus.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
