Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Physician Assistant role based in Jacksonville Beach, FL. The Physician Assistant will provide direct patient care across the lifespan, including conducting histories and physicals, diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions, and developing treatment plans under physician supervision. Daily responsibilities include ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, performing minor office procedures within scope of practice, and managing follow-up care and medication refills. The role also involves educating patients on preventive care, lifestyle modifications, and holistic treatment options, as well as coordinating care with other clinicians and support staff. The Physician Assistant will contribute to a concierge-style primary care experience by maintaining timely communication, thorough documentation, and strong patient relationships.
Qualifications
- Active Physician Assistant license (or eligibility) in the state of Florida, with completion of an accredited PA program and national certification (NCCPA).
- Clinical experience in primary care, family medicine, sports medicine, or related outpatient settings, with comfort treating patients across the age spectrum.
- Strong skills in patient assessment, diagnosis, and development of evidence-based treatment plans, including ordering and interpreting common labs and imaging.
- Demonstrated ability to perform office-based procedures appropriate to scope of practice and training (e.g., injections, basic wound care, joint-related procedures as applicable).
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient education skills, with a commitment to compassionate, family-centered, and culturally sensitive care.
- Interest in or exposure to holistic and integrative approaches to care, including lifestyle medicine & functional medicine
- Strong organizational and documentation skills, including proficiency with electronic health records and effective time management in a busy clinical setting.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a small, team-oriented practice environment and maintain professionalism, discretion, and patient confidentiality.
