Mission

• Improve the lives of those that we serve. Your primary responsibility to improve the mental and physical well-being of your clients. You must create a positive atmosphere at all times.

Overview

• As the Caregiver you are expected to provide skilled personal assistance to each Client, assuring that all policies and procedures are observed throughout the assignment for in-home care. All care provided will be within the parameters established in the Client’s individual Service Agreement.

Primary Duties

Provide skilled personal assistance including, but not limited to, bathing, dressing, personal grooming and hygiene, toileting and elimination, mobility, laundry, errands, transportation and any other assistance needed to assure that all personal (non-medical) needs are met, within the parameters established in the Client’s Service Agreement.

• Adheres to the Balanced Home Care policies and procedures.
• IMMEDIATELY report any significant changes, accidents, or incidents to the Direct Supervisor.
• Use Balanced Home Care’s systems of technology to clock in and clock out appropriately as well as recording services rendered.
• Adhere to Client confidentiality laws and the Client’s Bill of Rights in all matters of my care giving, and that my rights as a Caregiver are also protected.
• I agree not to solicit or contact current Clients with Balanced Home Care for my employment or personal gain.
• Any other duties directed by the Supervisor.

The caregiver will NOT perform any of the following:

• Administering of any medications unless otherwise directed, ointments, eye drops, etc.
• Heavy duty household chores such as washing walls, waxing floors, washing windows, etc.
• Household repairs or maintenance
• Eat any of the clients groceries or use any of their home goods

Working Conditions/ Environment

• Primarily works in client’s place of residence which can also include an assisted living facility or group home. Shift times and days vary with client needs. May be called upon to perform additional tasks as required by supervisor.
• Uphold and maintain an INFECTION CONTROL environment with each of my Clients. I agree to maintain a clean and safe environment through regular handwashing and diligent personal hygiene

Employee Acceptance

The company cannot promise to provide you with a certain number of hours in any given work week. We cannot guarantee work close to your home or on a convenient public transportation line.

Before applying, please read and understand the Resident Aide/ Caregiver job description, policies and procedures for supportive care, and the statements described in the previous paragraph and agree to be bound by the terms thereof.

We are seeking an ideal candidate with at least one year of recent facility caregiving experience. This is a traveling position, so reliable personal transportation is essential.

As part of this role, you will travel to all five of our facilities in the metro Detroit area, including:

• St Clair Shores
• Clinton Township
• Sterling Heights
• Farmington Hills
• Brighton

Schedule Options:

• PM shift: 2P-10pm, Friday through Tuesday

Compensation:

• A $200 per week bonus for being on call during the required shifts.
• $17 per hour when called in to work a shift.

At a minimum, you will earn the $200 weekly bonus.

Expectations:

• Availability to cover shifts on short notice is required.
• While we strive to provide advance notice when possible, true "on call" availability means you may need to respond at a moment's notice.
• When called in, you must be able to arrive within one hour.
