Responsibilities
- Operate snow removal equipment such as plows, shovels, blowers, and salt spreaders to clear snow and ice from designated areas
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to perform snow removal tasks
- Apply salt or other de-icing materials to prevent ice formation on walkways and surfaces
- Assist with landscaping maintenance tasks as needed, including basic groundskeeping and hardscape upkeep during winter months
- Follow all safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents or injuries during outdoor work
- Identify hazards such as icy patches or obstacles and address them promptly to ensure safety
- Collaborate with team members to complete snow removal efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
Experience
- Previous outdoor work experience, particularly in snow removal or groundskeeping, is preferred but not required—training will be provided
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance, horticulture, or landscaping practices is a plus
- Familiarity with the operation of grounds maintenance equipment, including power tools and hand tools
- Ability to identify plants, trees, and landscape features can be beneficial for seasonal maintenance tasks
- Strong adherence to safety protocols and procedures is essential for this physically demanding role
- Experience with irrigation systems or gardening is advantageous but not mandatory
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions with a proactive attitude toward safety and efficiency
Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
