POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the managing of the day to day operations of the accounting department, including preparation of financial budgets, implementing and overseeing all activities relating to the financial aspects of the business in compliance with the local tax laws and the business SOP’s. Preparation of weekly, monthly, and annual financial reporting in compliance with company & CPA standards & guidelines. Additionally, responsible for the financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, audit, asset & liability reconciliation, working capital and cash control. Also, ensure the safekeeping and updating of all legal documentation relating to the financial status of the company.
GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Possess knowledge of all aspects of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), and be able to effectively implement all accounting policies & procedures.
2. Able to develop specific goals and plans; to prioritize, organize and accomplish the necessary work while meeting company deadlines.
3. Able to prepare & submit management reports in a timely manner and also ensuring delivery deadlines are met.
4. Ensures profits & losses are documented accurately.
5. Coordinate & prepare financial documents, and providing those documents as requested by lenders, CPA’s, tax authorities, etc.
6. Identify and interpret source data for financial reporting (sales reports, payroll invoices, inventory’s).
7. Identify changes in operational activities and determine if/how they will alter source data.
8. Develop accounting procedures to optimize financial reporting.
9. Identify & categorize fixed assets for depreciation calculations by the CPA.
10. Identify & categorize liabilities to the businesses balance sheet (loans, sales tax liabilities, event hosting deposits, gift card purchases).
11. Reconcile ledger accounts, bank accounts, loan accounts.
12. Monitors all local tax compliance that applies and ensuring that taxes are charged correctly and collected.
13. Responsible for the timely filing with the tax authority, both local & state, on a monthly/regular basis.
14. Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results.
15. Oversees internal, external and regulatory audit processes.
16. Responsible for verifying all financial reports and ensuring that all transactions are accurate and in compliance with local government regulations.
17. Handle chargeback disputes, legal notices.
18. Any other tasks as and when required by the management.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS Must have 3 years experience in a Controller role. Knowledge of accounting policies & procedures. Proficiency of MS applications like Excel, Powerpoint, Word, etc. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Should possess strong financial accounting knowledge. Must have exceptional analytical skills and be well organized. Must be proficient in Quickbooks software. Must have experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND Ideal candidate will possess at least seven years of relevant experience and a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or a master's degree in business administration (MBA) or professional accreditation such as certified public accountant (CPA), certified management accountant (CMA) or chartered global management accountant (CGMA).
REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
In addition to the other duties described herein, each employee has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations:

- Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the accounting department.
