Machine Tool Electrician

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and talented Machine Tool Electrician to join our team. This position is responsible for field device wiring, cable routing, debug, and hardware checkout. After initial company specific training this individual must be able to perform their duties with little to no guidance or assistance from a Skill Trades Leader in a machine tool manufacturing environment. Attendance is a priority.

Job duties include:

• Follow all SAFETY procedures and policies
• Read Electrical schematics (AutoCAD, Eplan) and bill of materials (Excel).
• Familiar with wiring codes and requirements ( NEC, IEC).
• Work with controls engineering departments
• Work with the service department as required, during installation and startup.
• Layout wire routing for new build
• Assemble and install multiple types of wireway and E-chain
• Understand and Wiring communication buses/blocks and smart devices.
• Cable routing through cableway, duct, cat track, and robot flex.
• Wire permanent and temporary power in the following 120V, 240V, 277V 480V
• Wire and dress out robots
• Wire safety circuits
• Verify and install device tags.
• Maintain red line drawing mark-ups of changes required during fabrication
• Communicate red line changes to Team Leader for revision prior to completion
• Ability to drill, tap holes
• The ability to meet deadlines under pressure
• Perform OTHER duties as assigned or as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• 3 years of experience with automation, robotics, and/or machine tool or equivalent.
• Experience reading schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
• Experience with voltages up to 577.
• Experience with 24V DC power.
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Operate power tools and hand tools to complete mechanical assembly tasks
• MUST be willing to work some overtime if the business need arises
• A high standard of quality and attention to detail
• Provide their own/use of power and hand tools.(see below)

Schedule:

• Full-time (8-10 hours, day shift)
