Balance Technology, Inc. is looking for a Machine Operator/Builder. A positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and a passion for building and troubleshooting will define our ideal candidate. This is a hands-on role with opportunities to grow within the company.
As a Machine Operator/Builder with Balance Technology, some of your responsibilities will include:
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot automation equipment and machining centers.
- Read and interpret part drawings, schematics, and customer specifications to determine proper datums, tolerances, and correction areas
- Set up balancing machines using hand tools and measurement instruments (calipers, scales, measuring tapes, micrometers)
- Calculate and adjust controls for speed, feed, and coolant flow during machining operations
- Record serial numbers and relevant data for traceability
- Inspect and verify that finished components meet specifications and quality standards
- Safely operate overhead cranes, gantry systems, and forklifts for material handling
- Collaborate with Project Management and Quality teams as needed for machine validation and run-off testing
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent with a strong technical background.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with the ability to safely and correctly use a variety of hand power tools including drills, saws, grinders and sanders.
- Must provide your own tools.
- Strong organizational skills to efficiently plan and complete work tasks.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement methods.
- Ability to work in high-volume, production-driven environments.
- Familiarity with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Collaborative, self-starter mindset with a passion for troubleshooting and problem-solving.
Schedule:
- 8–10 hour shift, Monday to Friday
- Some Saturday mornings as needed
Education & Experience
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
- Minimum 1 year manufacturing experience preferred
