Field Service Technician

Job Overview
Balance Technology, Inc. is seeking a sharp-minded, talented, and motivated Field Service Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, your duties will include machine power-on and testing at our facility, as well as field installation of new and rebuilt equipment worldwide.
Core Requirements
- Education: Two-year technical degree (Computer / Electronics focus preferred) or a relevant four-year degree.
- Experience: 2 years of relevant industry experience.
- Environment: Comfort and confidence working with industrial machinery.
Technical Skills
- Schematics: Ability to read and interpret Electrical, Mechanical, and Pneumatic Machine Drawings.
- PLCs: Programmable Logic Controllers (Allen Bradley, Siemens Step7 / TIAPortal).
- Robotics: Robot Interface and Programming (ABB, FANUC, EPSON).
- Motion Control: VFD Motor control and Servo Motion Control.
- Networks: Field Bus IO (DeviceNet, Ethernet/IP, ProfiNet, ProfiBus).
- Safety: Safety controllers (GuardLogix, PILZ, ProfiSafe).
- Tools: Human Machine Interface (HMI), Multi-Meters, Oscilloscopes, and other Test Equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience with precision measurement and testing equipment.
Professional Skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Sound decision-making skills and good judgment.
- Self-starter who learns quickly in a fast-paced environment.
