Role Description
This is a weekday PRN, on-site role for a Balance and Aging Specialist- OT or OTA located in Milford, OH. In this role, you will provide tailored training and functional fitness sessions focused on enhancing strength, balance, and mobility for aging adults. Your responsibilities will include assessing clients’ physical capabilities, designing individualized exercise programs, monitoring progress, and offering guidance to ensure safe and effective practices during sessions.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in therapy practices and principles, including knowledge of aging-related physical and cognitive changes
- Proficiency in designing and implementing personalized fitness and therapy programs
- Demonstrated skills in assessing and monitoring physical capabilities and progress in clients
- Ability to provide clear guidance and instruction, ensuring safe and effective practices
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to connect with aging clients
- Relevant certifications or licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)
- Experience working with aging adults or providing similar services is a plus
- Emphasis on collaboration and adaptability to create a positive and supportive environment
