Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT)

Balance Bodywork & Massage is hiring for a part-time or full-time Licensed Massage Therapist.

Minimum 10 massage hours per week required. Potential to build into more hours if desired.

This position is open to experienced Massage Therapists as well a newer Therapists who are eager to learn and grow in this industry.

We are a therapeutic/medical massage & bodywork-based clinic with a strong emphasis on Swedish massage, deep tissue, and myofascial work. We have a wide array of clients from those with acute and chronic conditions & injuries to those seeking wellness & balance.

Responsibilities:

• Provide therapeutic massage treatments tailored to individual client needs, utilizing appropriate techniques.
• Conduct thorough patient intakes, observations and assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans.
• Create thorough and complete SOAP notes for each session.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health, safety and ethical standards.
• Communicate effectively with clients to explain procedures and address any concerns.

Desired Therapist Skills & Assets:

• Have a knowledgeable understanding of anatomy, physiology, and movement of the body.
• Have good interpersonal communication skills to create solid trust and connection with clients and coworkers.
• Provide a welcoming workplace with effective communication and positive, goal driven energy that is respectful, collaborative and team-oriented.
• Maintain reliability, consistency, and dedication with clients, co-workers, and clinic.
• Be open to learning and expanding your skills to benefit your career and bring success to clients.

Required Qualifications:

• Massage Therapist Degree from a qualified, accredited program
• Active Washington State Massage Therapist License
• Active Massage Therapist Malpractice Insurance

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive pay with per hour massage rate, plus compensation for transition time between massages for room prep, charting, etc.
• Retain 100% of tips, as well as commissions for upgrades & referrals.
• You will be added as a preferred provider under our clinic’s billing & insurance provider contracts.
• Signing bonus for applicants who are currently contracted with Regence.
• Work schedule would be afternoon/early evenings to start. Some flexibility with days Monday-Friday.
