What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Director position at BALANCE AUTISM?
This leader directs and coordinates program activities of Balance Autism to provide specialized human
services in adult community programs (ACS) including HCBS and HAB services by performing the
following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
Top 5 Duties:
1. Ensures ACS growth in number of persons served in HCBS and HAB services for assigned
scope
2. Ensures appropriate recruitment, selection, and retention of ACS Leadership staff for assigned
scope
3. In collaboration with the Operations Department and other Leadership staff, develops the ACS,
HAB, and SCL Hourly budgets
4. Within assigned scope, demonstrates oversight of program compliance with external and internal
rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
5. In collaboration with other ACS leaders, establishes and provides oversight of processes for any
and all contingency planning to ensure ACS meets or exceed organizational outcome
expectations
Additional Responsibilities include the following:
- Ensures all necessary paperwork is prepared for oversight agencies and payers for new
- Provides oversight of the performance management system for ACS program and ensures timely
- Develops processes to ensure ACS meets or exceed budget expectations by the end of each
- Development and oversight of systems and process to ensure full compliance with regulations
- Development and oversight of systems and process to ensure full compliance with organizational
- Collaborates with Admissions to ensure census meets associated organizational outcomes
- Establishes reporting mechanisms to ensure proper oversight of the ACS program
- Effectively resolves family, vendor, or other stakeholder concerns
- Other duties may be assigned.

- Education and/or Experience: Fifth year college or university program certificate; or Bachelor
education and experience.
- Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and
organization.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using
to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of
Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Word Processing software.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete
instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from Four-year college with 4 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance
- Ability to complete background check
- Supervisory experience required
- Microsoft Office Proficient
