Night Scale Operator

Night Position : 7am-7pm

5days on - 2 days off

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Scale Operator to join our logistics and transloading team. The Scale Operator plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and flow of truck, rail, and product movement data. This position involves operating scale systems, managing documentation, supporting load and unload processes, and communicating with drivers, dispatchers, and internal staff. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is organized, and maintains a professional demeanor at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

· Arrive early to receive shift updates and ensure a smooth handoff between shifts.

· Operate desktop systems including Loader Integration, Rail Oil, and email platforms.

· Send scheduled emails with job summaries, rail lists, and BOLs at designated times.

· Maintain cleanliness of scale shacks and ensure trash is emptied and supplies are stocked.

· Accurately record and update loader integration details for every sand truck visit.

· Monitor truck schedules via the SANDi app and send pull rate updates as needed.

· Train new truck drivers for sand, LPG, and diesel operations using proper onboarding materials.

· Handle axle weight requests and discrepancies per procedure, including cash transactions.

· Identify trucks with extra sand and escalate as necessary by contacting dispatch.

· Manage BOL and weight entries for LPG and UET diesel trucks using AWS and internal tracking systems.

· Reboot computers daily (day shift) and manage weekend reporting responsibilities.

· Troubleshoot minor printer issues and escalate major ones.

· Communicate promptly and professionally via email with internal teams and external partners.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Prior experience in logistics, transportation, or scale operations preferred.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and general desktop computer usage.

· Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise procedures.

· Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a busy work environment.

· Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

· Ability to lift light loads and maintain a clean workspace.

· Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
