Summary
As a Shop Technician, you will be integral to the efficient operation of our threading facility, reporting directly to the Shop Manager. Proficiency in skid steer operation is essential, while your relevant experience with hand and power tools, as well as shop practices, will enhance productivity. We expect you to contribute to a safe and organized work environment, playing a vital role in our commitment to excellence in manufacturing. Shop Technicians shall work on the shop floor assisting Machine Operators and other Shop Techs.
Other responsibilities, authorities, and duties of the Shop Tech are as follows:
- Follow all standard operating procedures (SOP’s), repair guidelines, and quality standards.
- Deburring connections
- Blowing out pipe and ensuring ID of pipe is clear of debris
- Painting upsets or toll joints black
- Stenciling of connections after Quality Manager approval
- Movement of foam plugs
- Recording of pipe serial numbers
- Phosphating process
- Applying proper thread coating
- Securing thread protectors
- General cleanliness and organization
- Shop maintenance
- Phosphate maintenance
- Tally pipe
- End Drift
- Operate hand tools and power tools
- Operate skid steer
- Work cooperatively with team members to meet productions goals.
Qualifications
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Abiltity to work in a team environment.
- Mechanical aptitube and willingness to learn.
- Experience with hand tools and power tools preferred.
- Skid stter experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to work safely in a shop environment.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials as required.
- Valid Driver's Licence and able to commute.
Pre- Employment Requirements
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen and will be subject to random testing.
Employment Elgibility
Must be legally authorized to work in the United State. Sponshorship is not available for this position.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.50 - $28.00 per hour
