What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mailroom Clerk 1 position at BAKERSFIELD FAMILY MEDICAL GROUP, INC.?
Under the direction of the Claims Supervisor, this position is responsible to prepare and distribute all incoming/outgoing mail for the Claims Department. Position requires driving daily to main campus to pick up mail from mailroom. Responsible for date stamping all incoming mail, to include faxes. Responsible for distribution of all correspondence to appropriate claims staff. Responsible for accurately scanning all claims to third party vendor for data entry. The Claims Mailroom Clerk will interact with other departments, clinic personnel, and outside providers in a professional and friendly manner, to create and maintain a positive relationship with our internal and external customers.
Prepare and distribute incoming/outgoing mail.
Prepare and distribute correspondence to appropriate claims staff for processing.
Daily scanning of claims to third party vendor for data entry.
Responsible for picking up claims department mail from main campus mailroom.
Cultural and Linguistics training required annually.
Requirements:
8.1 High School diploma or equivalent required.
8.2 Working knowledge of mailroom required.
8.3 Valid CA Driver's License and current vehicle insurance and clean driving record.
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be reasonably between $21.00 and $24.71 per hour. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
