About the Role
The General Superintendent will oversee profitable installation of project work by directing co-workers and interfacing with other trades. This role is responsible for a large project or multiple mid-sized projects and requires strong leadership skills, safety awareness, and attention to planning, cost, and productivity.
Main Responsibilities
The General Superintendent will be responsible for:
- Planning work and coordinating with other teams
- Executing work and ensuring high-quality results
- Promoting client and industry relations through professional conduct
- Directing and overseeing staff, including subordinate superintendents
- Ensuring a safe work environment and perpetuating a culture of safety, quality, and productivity (SQP)
- Participating in training and certifications to stay up-to-date with industry developments
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and 15 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Demonstrated ability to perform on progressively more complex projects
