POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Frame Utility
Payroll: Weekly; Full-time Non-Exempt
Location: High Point, NC
Basic Functions
The Frame Utility role within the furniture industry primarily involves tasks related to the handling, movement, and occasionally assisting with the assembly of furniture frames or components.
Specific Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Loading, unloading, and transporting materials within or around a plant, yard, or work site.
- Following Instructions: Interpreting work orders or listening to verbal instructions to identify materials or containers to be moved.
- Using Hand Tools: Opening containers with tools such as steel cutters, crowbars, or claw hammers.
- Loading and Unloading: Manually loading and unloading materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves.
- Packing and Securing: Loading materials into vehicles and applying strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent movement or damage.
- Labeling and Marking: Attaching identifying tags or labels to materials or marking items with relevant information.
- Truck Operations: Hand-loading and unloading trucks, either manually or with a dolly or hand truck.
- Physical Strength: Lifting, pushing, and pulling items as needed.
- Reading SPEC Sheets: Learning to interpret a SPEC sheet (likely related to product specifications).
- General Assistance: Performing any other tasks assigned by management.
- Frame Assembly (Potential): Assembling wooden parts or components to create sections, frames, or complete furniture articles, including tasks like trimming joints, using hand tools and power tools, and attaching components.
- Quality Control: Inspecting and verifying frames for adherence to quality standards.
- Delivering Frames: Transporting frames to temporary storage for subsequent operations.
- Maintaining Work Area: Ensuring a clean workstation and production floor..

Education and Experience Requirements
- Relevant industry experience (Preferred)
- High School Diploma/GED (Preferred)
Job Type: Full-time
Base Pay: $17.00 - $18.95 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
