As Lead Project Shipping Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all logistic activities related to assigned Energy Equipment (EE) projects inside I&ET business. The successful candidate will join a dynamic and innovative team, focused on bringing fresh ideas and solutions to the complex logistics environment of EE.
In this role, you will be in charge of:
- Ensure flawless execution of logistic activities with a strong emphasis on compliance, quality, and HSE standards.
- Manage the outbound activities to perform the shipment to the Customer, based on contractual delivery terms.
- Be responsible for shipping documents dossier, both for export and shipping to reach project milestone, and, in necessary, supporting Customer for importation.
- Maintain a holistic view of project logistics, from inbound to outbound, including logistics KPIs, cost, and performance.
- Influence project team decisions by reporting potential issues and proposing improvement actions and ideas, complete with relevant business plans for approval.
- Act as a consultant on customs and trade compliance topics, supporting the project team and involving relevant functions as necessary.
- Manage, evaluate, and control the logistic KPIs of the project.
- Sponsor and implement cost-out and improvement plans.
- Oversee the inbound logistics of heavy-lift items, ensuring adherence to project milestones and cost-effectiveness.

- Have previous project team working experience, with the ability to influence functional stakeholders and Customer, or Project Management expertise.

The Field Service Mechanical Engineer is responsible for performing on-site installation, service, maintenance, alignment, cleaning, repair, and modification of large high-voltage generators, motors, and synchronous condensers. This role ensures mechanical inspection and repair in line with OEM standards and supports commissioning and troubleshooting activities across global customer sites.
As a Field Service Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Operating and maintaining special purpose equipment for mechanical generator inspection and repair
- Stripping down and rebuilding large generators and related equipment, fault finding, and rectifying issues
- Installing and commissioning large turbo-driven generators, synchronous condensers, and motors
- Performing mechanical alignment checks and basic electrical tests using mechanical, optical, and laser-based systems
- Interpreting specifications and technical requirements to prepare method statements and detailed reports for customers
- Attending technical meetings on-site and at customer premises
- Supporting winding specialists in carrying out in-situ winding repairs and rewinds
- Undertaking various duties as reasonably required to provide customer solutions
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have an accredited Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification or relevant experience at minimum, qualified through a recognized Craft apprenticeship in fitting and assembly operations on large high voltage rotating electrical machines.
- Have 5 years of Mechanical experience working on Motors and/or Generators.
- Be self-sufficient, resourceful and a problem solver.
- Have strength of character and high levels of energy.
- Be an effective communicator, fluent in both spoken and written English.
- Be able to undertake overseas and offshore assignments, in addition to attending trainings in Italy, UK and Czech Republic.
- Have experience in dealing with external stakeholders on-site and operating remotely on own initiative.
- Have knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) and be willing to be a leader in HSE.
- Be a good team player with the ability to work independently.
