Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This is a field-based position. You should be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions, standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding. You must be able to pull wires through conduits, work at heights, and lift up to 50 lbs. Color vision is required to identify wiring.

What You’ll Do
- Conduct on-site inspections of residential solar PV installations.
- Verify installed components align with approved plans and meet design and code requirements.
- Ensure compliance with local electrical codes, manufacturer specifications, and industry best practices.
- Identify and document any issues affecting system safety, performance, or warranty.
- Use digital tools to record inspection findings and communicate results.
- Serve as the point of contact for homeowners for scheduling and inspection updates.
- Work closely with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) to facilitate inspection approvals and resolve permit issues.
- Collaborate with project managers, installation crews, and internal support teams to keep projects on track.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Experience: 1–2 years in residential solar, electrical inspections, or a related field (preferred).
- Familiarity with PV system components and installation practices.
- Strong understanding of residential electrical standards and ability to read electrical schematics.
- Knowledge of local permitting and inspection regulations.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional approach with customers.
- Proficiency with digital inspection tools and mobile apps.
