Landscape Foreman Job Summary:
The Landscape Foreman is responsible for leading a crew and managing daily landscaping operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality results. This role oversees residential and commercial projects, coordinates team activities, and ensures client satisfaction while maintaining company standards.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· Ability to lead a crew(s) at multiple residential and commercial locations.
· Train and mentor team members on proper techniques, safety practices, and equipment use.
· Oversees day-to-day operations of the landscaping department.
· Schedule work, assign tasks, and monitor progress to meet deadlines and quality standards
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Operates a variety of maintenance equipment such as shovels, rakes, or saws to complete assignments.
· Operates power equipment and other vehicles such as tractors, mowers, chainsaws, electric clippers, or other similar machines.
· Execute landscape installations based on plans, including hardscapes, rock gardens, retaining walls, and specialty features.
· Educates and consults with clients regarding plant selection, care, and costs of additional services and maintenance.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Excellent verbal communication skills.
· Good understanding of groundskeeping and landscaping practices and procedures.
· Ability to work efficiently and thoroughly.
· Must have a positive, teamwork-focused attitude and uphold professional standards while on the job site.
· Thorough understanding of how to care for various types of lawns, greenery, and plants.
· Ability to operate various types of landscaping power equipment and hand tools.
· Maintain accurate records of materials, labor hours, and job progress.
· Prior hardscape experience is a plus
Education and Experience:
· On-the-job training offered.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and pulling.
· Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at a time.
· Must be physically able to operate heavy equipment and power tools.
· Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions.
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
