Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Plumber and HVAC Technician to join our dynamic construction and maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing and HVAC systems across residential and commercial projects. Your expertise will ensure that all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and construction plans. Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including gas piping, pipe threading, and schematics interpretation in residential and commercial settings
- Perform HVAC system installation, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance to ensure optimal operation
- Read blueprints, construction plans, and schematics accurately to execute projects efficiently
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy lifting techniques safely to complete tasks
- Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications
- Follow safety protocols rigorously during all phases of work to maintain a safe construction environment
Requirements
- Proven construction site experience with a strong minimum two year background in plumbing and HVAC systems
- Valid journeyman license in plumbing
- Extensive knowledge of residential and commercial plumbing systems including gas piping systems
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, construction plans, and understand mechanical drawings
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, welding tools, and other relevant machinery
- Familiarity with building code compliance standards and safety regulations governing construction work
- Physical ability for heavy lifting, climbing ladders/scaffolding, standing for long periods, and performing manual tasks
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to installation and repairs
- Gas licensing helpful
