The Houston office of Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell and Berkowitz, P.C. seeks an associate with bankruptcy, workout, and/or relevant commercial litigation experience to join its Corporate Restructuring & Bankruptcy practice group. The position involves representing lenders, secured and unsecured creditors, and businesses in a variety of commercial loan restructuring and insolvency matters with default resolutions, collections, loan workouts, and bankruptcy-related matters in federal and state court. Knowledge of CMBS (including special servicing), commercial lending, real estate, maritime, and/or energy law are a plus. This is a terrific opportunity to gain sophisticated hands-on experience as part of a multi-office team of collaborative and goal-oriented professionals in a thriving commercial loan restructuring and workout practice with significant client contact. Academically distinguished applicants who have excellent writing, analytical, and organizational skills are sought to assume responsibility in this active and diverse practice.
