We are seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join our certified Rural Health Clinic (RHC) team in Whitesburg, KY. This position offers a highly autonomous outpatient environment focusing on comprehensive family medicine for patients of all ages and conditions.
With a flexible schedule of 3 to 4 days per week and no call or hospital rounds, this role is designed to offer a robust work-life balance while serving a vital community need.
Loan Forgiveness Eligibility: Because we operate as an RHC in a designated Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA), qualified candidates may eligible for substantial federal and state student loan repayment programs (such as the National Health Service Corps).
Complete Clinical Support: You won't be bogged down by administrative tasks. Your practice is fully supported by a dedicated team, including a designated nurse, receptionist, phlebotomist, and full-time office manager.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care services, including ordering, conducting, and interpreting diagnostic tests.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions across all age demographics.
- Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with Kentucky APRN guidelines.
- Collaborate closely with our medical director/physician as part of the multidisciplinary RHC care framework.
- Maintain accurate, timely electronic health records (EHR) to support RHC quality reporting metrics.
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted APRN license in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
- Board Certification in Family Medicine (FNP-C or FNP-BC).
- Controlled Substance Registration Certificate (DEA) or eligibility.
- Excellent clinical judgment and a passion for rural healthcare delivery.
