The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing maintenance activities that support safe and efficient plant operations. This role works closely with leadership and production personnel to troubleshoot equipment issues, perform preventive maintenance, and maintain operational reliability. The Maintenance Technician ensures equipment and facilities are maintained in accordance with company procedures and applicable local, state, and federal regulations. Success in this role requires strong technical skills, initiative, reliability, teamwork, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Areas of responsibility include but not limited to HVAC maintenance, indoor/outdoor maintenance, assisting with greenhouse maintenance and upkeep, and all facilities needs

• Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements.
• Perform mechanical troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on production equipment and machinery.
• Conduct minor electrical troubleshooting within the scope of qualifications and training.
• Collaborate with production operators and IT to identify, diagnose, and resolve equipment issues.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on production equipment and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Rebuild, repair, and upgrade machinery and equipment as required.
• Complete fabrication projects and modifications as needed.
• Assist in maintaining spare parts inventory to support efficient operations.
• Install and commission new machinery and equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area following maintenance activities and projects.
• Participate in company-sponsored training and development programs as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Significant experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery and equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to work overtime as required to support business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a fast paced fulfillment center environment.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and equipment reliability practices.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting experience.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, push, pull, and reach.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds independently.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to climb and access equipment that may be mounted on building, rooftop or pole.

Work Environment:

Some outdoor work will be required, facility is temperature controlled and secured. Safety training and PPE is provided to all employees to ensure compliance with company and federal regulations. Occasional exposure to plant dust and greenhouse chemicals.
