Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented AutoCAD Drafter to join our innovative design team. In this role, you will transform conceptual ideas into precise technical drawings and detailed schematics using advanced CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software. Your expertise will support architectural, engineering, and construction projects by creating accurate 2D and 3D models, ensuring compliance with building codes and industry standards. Responsibilities
1. Gather and review specifications for drawings from Request For Quote (RFQ) and from the sales lead when required.
2. Efficiently, timely and accurately complete detailed designs with computer-aided design (CAD) software.
3. Identify potential operational issues and offer suggestions/redesign to improve functionality.
4. Calculate dimensions, weight limitations and requirements in materials.
5. Collaborate with project manager to complete as-built drawings.
6. Work closely with the sales lead to gather product and structural requirements and designs.
7. Consult with engineering rough sketches and ensure final designs comply with regulations and BBI quality standards (use BBI Drawing Standards manual).
8. Inform engineering and sales lead of all relevant issues, errors, discrepancies, etc.
9. Use, maintain and update company drawing template and block library.
10. File all documentation in the designated ShareFile folders.
11. Perform other job duties as assigned.
Educational Requirements / Qualifications
1. Minimum high school/GED; College Degree or equivalent.
2. Hands-on experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software.
3. Certificate in AutoCAD is preferred (or ability to learn quickly).
4. Proficiency with basic PC hardware and software, including MS Word and MS Excel.
5. Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing.
6. Attention to detail.
7. Good math skills.
8. Deadline-oriented.
9. Organizational skills.
10. Valid driver's license.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
