Role Description This full-time, on-site AutoCAD Designer role is based in Kennesaw, GA. The AutoCAD Designer will produce accurate architectural and construction drawings for warehouse and industrial material-handling projects, including racking layouts, mezzanines, platforms, and related structures. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and revising CAD drawings, interpreting project requirements, collaborating with project managers and engineers, and ensuring compliance with safety and building standards. The role also involves space planning, coordinating design details with the installation team, and maintaining organized documentation for design files and revisions. The designer will communicate regularly with internal stakeholders to align designs with client needs, schedules, and budget parameters.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Architectural Drawings and Construction Drawings, with the ability to translate project specifications into accurate technical plans.
- Proficiency in Drawing and Space Planning, including layout design for warehouse and industrial environments.
- Effective Communication skills to collaborate with project managers, engineers, installers, and clients.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD (and related CAD software); experience with material-handling or industrial facility design is preferred.
- Understanding of building codes, safety standards, and structural considerations relevant to racking and mezzanine systems.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in drafting, engineering technology, architecture, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience working in warehouse, construction, or industrial settings is a plus.
