Bakery Assistant and Barista

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting baked goods & helping meet their coffee needs ensuring a positive and delicious experience
• Prepare and package a variety of baked items, including bread, pastries, and sourdough, following food safety and handling guidelines
• Display and prep pastries with precision, creativity, and attention to detail to meet customer specifications
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery area, adhering to food safety standards at all times
• Support food production tasks such as mixing, baking, and assembling baked goods in accordance with recipes and quality standards
• Manage inventory levels of ingredients and packaging supplies, restocking as needed to ensure smooth operations
• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products, offering recommendations, and addressing any concerns promptly

Requirements

• Previous experience in food preparation, baking, or pastry work is highly desirable; culinary or kitchen experience is a plus. Willing to train the perfect candid.
• Strong knife skills and prep work
• Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and clear communication abilities
• Experience with packaging baked goods for retail is preferred
• Familiarity with the food industry standards related to cooking, food production, and catering services

Ideal candidate will work :
20-35 hours per week

Schedule will be every Monday, Wednesdays, Saturdays & Sundays.

Weekends are a MUST

Week days 4-6 hours mainly, BOTH Saturday & Sunday 6-8 hours.

Shifts to open at 5:15.

Shifts to close end at 4-4:30.

Must enjoy coffee.

Must be trainable.

Must enjoy baking.

Bakers also serve as Baristas And work directly with the public. You will be trained in both!

Must be friendly and a team player.

Must be able to multitask.

Absolutely NO GOSSIP!

Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
