Customer Marketing Manager

Job Summary/Objective:
We're looking for a Customer Marketing Manager who can own customer-facing marketing strategy across our business. This role leads cross-functional initiatives spanning demand generation, trade shows, media management, agency coordination, and channel-specific marketing execution. You'll mentor and manage a team, drive results across multiple customer segments (Club Store, Grocery, Foodservice, C-Store, Industrial), and act as the bridge between Sales, Product, and external partners. You'll have a direct impact on how customers experience our brand - from the first touchpoint at a trade show to the campaigns that drive pipeline and revenue. You'll shape strategy, and own execution across the full marketing spectrum.
Essential Functions:
Customer Channel Marketing & Sales Partnership
- Partner with cross-functional sales leaders and customers to develop and implement fully integrated marketing programs that align with growth goals.
- Build marketing plans, manage, and execute strategies that enhance the brand and drive sales growth through customer acquisition, loyalty, and retention.
- Create tailored marketing programs for key customer channels (Club, Grocery, Foodservice, C-Store, Industrial) that deliver on mutual growth objectives.
- Build and deliver customer-specific, compelling presentations and marketing materials that support the launch and adoption of products across channels.
- Leverage customer, category and channel insights to grow Bake'n Joy share and achieve business objectives.
- Foster effective and productive internal and external relationships with Sales, Sales Ops, R&D and Demand Planning.
- Maintain brand consistency while adapting messaging to resonate with different buyer personas.
Media, Trade Show & Event Strategy & Execution
- Inform execution of media strategy and campaign programming across digital, print, and industry-specific channels.
- Lead end-to-end trade show execution: pre-show planning, booth strategy, lead capture, post-show follow-up.
- Manage vendor relationships, logistics, and on-site coordination for major industry events.
- Track and manage campaigns & initiatives against a budget, timeline, and ROI for continuous optimization

- Advise the development and execution of social purpose strategy and initiatives that align with brand values and resonate with customers and stakeholders.

Management Responsibilities:
- Direct management of marketing team (Marketing Assistant Manager & Marketing Specialist)
Work Environment:
- Primarily remote or office-based work, with frequent travel to customer sites, trade shows, and industry events.
- Occasional work in customer facilities, including their kitchens, where exposure to temperature variations, noise, and equipment is possible.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Frequent standing, sitting, and driving.
Position Type:
- Full-Time
Work Hours:
- Monday to Friday, with occasional evening or weekend work depending on client needs or event schedules.
- Overtime may be required during busy sales cycles or major industry events.
Travel:
- Travel up to 25% primarily Domestic, with overnight travel attending trade shows, customer meetings and industry conferences.
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field required, MBA a plus
- 7 years in marketing, with direct people management experience
- Experience in the Consumer-Packaged Goods, Food & Beverage or related industries. Trade Marketing, B2B Marketing, Shopper Marketing, or Customer Marketing experience preferred
- Exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills to interact and communicate effectively with colleagues, cross-functional teams, and customers.
- Strong business acumen with data-driven mindset - track performance, optimize based on results, and can speak to ROI with confidence
- Creative Storytelling, strong problem solving, quantitative and analytical abilities
- Highly creative, self-motivated and detail-oriented. Comfortable with a fast-paced and changing environment
- Strong project management - juggle multiple campaigns, deadlines, and stakeholders without dropping the ball.
Compensation:
The typical starting salary range for this position is $100,000-$135,000 a year. Several factors, including skills, experience, education, certifications, and the location of the job will determine the actual pay offered. The salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for associates in these positions.
This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
