Job Summary
Warehouse Workers needed in small manufacturing business. Includes boxing, preparing shipments, receiving/loading shipments. This position offers an opportunity to learn skills in warehouse work, forklift operation, and materials handling.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a forklift and several heavy tools like chop saw, table saw, deck screw gun. Includes receiving and storing incoming raw materials as well as loading finished product once packaged. Training in forklift, equipment will be provided onsite.
- Manage inventory control by accurately stocking, picking, packing, and organizing products
- Assist in shipping and receiving activities ensuring proper documentation, and maintaining shipment accuracy.
- Support warehouse distribution efforts by fulfilling customer orders through precise order picking and packing procedures.
- Conduct regular stock counts and inventory audits to maintain optimal stock levels and prevent discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards by following proper safety protocols during heavy lifting, mechanical operations, and materials handling.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow processes related to manufacturing support, construction materials handling, and warehouse management.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency across all areas of the warehouse.
- Assist with load & unload activities for incoming shipments or outgoing deliveries while adhering to safety guidelines.
Requirements
- No experience necessary, will train, but previous warehouse experience may help
- Demonstrated ability to operate heavy equipment including forklifts and other mechanical tools.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and supervisors on operational needs.
