The Impact You'll Make
- Provide support to our MBS trading team, monitor market trends and assist with trade execution and settlement processes.
- Monitor macro-economic trends and analyze data to identify potential trading opportunities.
- Conduct research and analysis to support trading strategies and decision-making.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and implement new trading strategies.
- Assist finance in ongoing (daily/monthly) profit and loss (P&L) reconciliations.
- Stay updated on industry and regulatory developments.
- Develop and maintain relationships with sales associates across the Baird platform.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and uphold ethical standards at all times.
- Utilize systems including Bloomberg, Microsoft Excel, Yieldbook and Intex Dealmaker.
- Bachelor’s degree required; degrees in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Computer Science are preferred.
- FINRA licensed (SIE, 7 and 63) or willingness to become licensed within 6 months of start date.
- 0-3 years of professional experience.
- Excellent communication skills and possessing a team player approach. Willingness and ability to work additional hours as needed to ensure work is completed in a timely fashion. Attention to detail and a positive “can-do” attitude are a must.
- Expert Microsoft Excel skills. Have an understanding of standard industry tools (i.e., Bloomberg and Yield Book).
- Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously, often under pressure and/or short deadlines.
- $74,900 -$101,300 annual salary range
- Bonus potential up to 20% of base pay
