We are looking for an experienced Corporate Recruiter to source awesome talent and act as a consultant to our hiring teams while providing an amazing candidate experience. In addition to full life cycle recruiting, there is great opportunity to get involved in other projects to assist us in being a world class TA team.

The primary focus of this role will be leading our IT recruiting initiatives and strategy, as well as supporting some additional client areas. The Baird story and culture is well positioned to sell and attract talent, so come help us build our team. The preferred location for this position is in Milwaukee in a hybrid working model. We're open to other locations for the right candidate.

As a Corporate Recruiter, you will:


Manage the strategy and execution of the full life cycle recruiting process for designated client areas: 

  • Collaborate with hiring leaders and teams to implement a diverse talent acquisition strategy for each client through understanding the client’s business, financial goals and strategic initiatives - provide a vision and learn their business.

  • Provide guidance to hiring managers through active communicating and recommendations based on knowledge of the markets, candidates and talent strategies - show off your expertise and use your influencing skills.

Utilize creative sourcing techniques to bring in quality talent: 

  • Use your expertise in social media tools (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, etc) to attract, market, engage and network to a diverse talent pool - be a sourcing rockstar!

  • Work to develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need through building and maintaining networks of potential candidates through pro-active market research and on-going relationship management in a CRM - build and nurture your talent pipeline.

  • Demonstrate diversity awareness and utilize sourcing techniques that reach diverse population - think outside of the box to find and recommend diverse talent.

  • Cultivate a network of relationships inside and outside the organization and encourage clients to help promote opportunities out to their networks - promote recruiting advocacy - we are all recruiters!

Build strategic relationships within HR and the business:

  • Develop strong partnership with HR Business Partner team to implement a clearly defined talent acquisition strategy and support client talent road maps - you will have a voice and be immersed in the clients you serve.

  • Collaborate with Client Senior Leadership to develop and communicate key results around recruiting strategies - you will have exposure and visibility to the executive level.

Be a leader in your field: 

  • Keep abreast of developments in Talent Acquisition to increase performance and drive business results - know your field and the challenges of the market.

  • Coach and mentor other recruiters, as well as those involved in the hiring process - share your knowledge!

  • Build relationships within TA community to exchange ideas, identify trends and collaborate to improve approaches to common challenges, resulting in thought leadership and best practices for Baird - help us get better.

What we look for: 

  • Bachelor's degree preferred with at least five years of full-life cycle recruiting experience. IT recruiting experience preferred.

  • Demonstrated expertise in recruitment best practices, client relationships, and talent sourcing in a professional services environment.

  • Experience developing and executing recruiting and sourcing strategies including employer promotion in the marketplace, candidate management, diversity sourcing, and interview process management.

  • Ability to write creative job postings and social media campaigns to attract talent.

  • Expertise in utilizing applicant tracking system (ATS) and CRM to efficiently manage candidates.  (Workday Recruit and Beamery experience is preferred). Outstanding interviewing and interpersonal skills.

  • Able to discern core competencies as they relate to the position requirements in order to evaluate and refer the best candidate pool to hiring managers.

  • Strong sense of urgency, high level of accountability and ability to successfully influence hiring managers.

  • Strong negotiation, organization & time management skills with ability to prioritize based on urgency and impact.
